The first two of several DVD's introducing a new approach to equestrian fitness. Using exercises from Pilates and Strength training these programs will teach the body balance in the saddle. Also introduced are some flexibility moves to address the tight musculature that results from spending a lot of time in the saddle. These DVD's are excellent sources to not only maintain the strength of riders, but also help strengthen the muscles that are not targeted by the sport of riding horses.

Over the summer, America 's Horse featured some of my fitness tips as they applied to general core strength, as well as fitness for the older equestrian.

I have been busy writing articles most recently in The Arabian Horse Magazine

Emily J. Harrington is an accomplished equestrian athlete with several Top 10 placings at both the Quarter Horse Congress and the AQHA World Finals. She is a Quarter Horse Congress Champion and a two-time AQHA World Champion.

She has developed workouts not only as an accomplished equestrian, but also from her rich background in physical therapy and fitness and the knowledge that a fit body gives you an advantage, whether you are competing at the highest levels of equestrian competition or just enjoying riding your horse on home trails and keeping up with barn chores!
